The Crew

Dan Dan is a very experienced and full time professional skipper. With over 100,000 nautical miles under various keels including ten transatlantic crossings, several laps of the Mediterranean, Caribbean passage making and Big Boat Series and too many Solent and cross-channel trips to mention, he is a relaxed fun skipper with a keen interest in diving, watersports and good food!

Emily Emily is a real water baby, there are few places that she hasn't sailed with over 180,000 nautical miles covered! Very much at home at sea, she has sailed 14 transatlantics, 1 trans pacific and taken part in the RORC round Britain and Ireland race - a fun challenge as skipper of an all female crew. She has also spent many years on Global Challenge yachts, most notably sailing from the UK to Antarctica in 1999.

In addition to long distance sailing, she has also worked as a chief instructor and joint base manager at various sailing schools, as well as skippering yachts for team building and corporate events in the Solent.

Although Skyelark takes up the majority of her time, she still delivers an ARC yacht back across to Europe every year and assists an Oyster owner in the Med during the summer.

Together we form the perfect team, whether it's a racing dip pole gibe, strategic team building challenges or serving drinks and canapés.
